What data does this website process?

This website consists mostly of static pages. The typeface is served from this site's own domain, so no connection to an external font provider is made. No cookies are set and no third-party resources are loaded.

When the site is requested, the hosting provider automatically processes server log data sent by your browser. This typically includes the IP address, the time of the request, the address requested, the amount of data transferred and details about your browser and operating system. This processing is technically necessary to deliver the site and to operate it securely. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Contact form

The contact form processes only what you enter yourself: your name, your email address and your message (up to 5000 characters). These details are used to handle your enquiry and to reply to you.

The submission is sent to a server function belonging to this website, which forwards it directly by email to the controller's mailbox. The website itself keeps no database and does not store enquiries persistently. Your email address is set as the message's reply-to address.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Your enquiry remains in the mailbox for as long as it is needed to handle it or as required by statutory retention obligations, and is deleted afterwards.

To guard against automated submissions the form contains a hidden field and a timestamp. No captcha and no third-party service is used, and no additional personal data is collected for this purpose.

Providing the data is voluntary. Without a name, an email address and a message the form cannot be submitted, but you are welcome to reach me directly by email or through LinkedIn instead.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., which also runs the server function handling the contact form. Data may therefore also be processed outside the European Union.
